An elite authority in the industry, she has worked in fashion houses and in fashion media, from Marc Jacobs to Elle and Marie Claire. Originally from Colombia, she now makes her home in New York City.

Schicker Styleguide mit schönen Illustrationen
Ein tolles Buch zu einem super Preis.

Das Buch beschreibt Fashion-Klassiker von A (1.) wie "A-Line Dress" bis Z (100.) "Zippered Hoodie". Ein kurzer Beschreibungstext zu jedem Kleidungsstück wird ergänzt mit praktischen Tipps zum Einsatz/Kombinationsmöglichkeiten. Querverweise zu Filmen, Musik, Websites belegen den "Must-have" Status und exemplarische Herstellernennungen helfen beim Einkaufen. Zusätzliche Hintergrundinformationen zur Geschichte der ganz großen Klassiker liefern kurze Glossarboxen. Das ganze Buch ist mit den tollen Illustrationen von Ruben Toledo gestaltet, das Buch ist komplett in Farbe.

Insgesamt ist es aber eher ein stylishes Lesebuch, kein Schritt-für-Schritt Ratgeber zum Anlegen der Garderobe. Eher zu empfehlen für Modeinteressierte, weniger für Styling-Anfänger.

Ich war schon lange auf der Suche nach einem Buch, das einem Tipps für die Basics im Kleiderschrank gibt. Dieses wurde in der ELLE empfohlen und ich habe es mir sofort besorgt. Enttäuscht wurde ich nicht. Ich finde es großartig, da man sich wieder auf die wirklich wichtigen Dinge im Schrank konzentrieren kann. Leider gibt es das Buch nur auf Englisch. Es ist aber leicht geschrieben und gut verständlich. Danach habe ich mir gleich noch das erste Buch der Autorin besorgt. Ebenfalls sehr interessant.
